Weapons are sorted by skill used. A weapon's Damage Ratio signifies its capacity for dealing raw damage, and is useful in determining the most efficient weapon within each skill. Damage Ratio is calculated using Damage and Delay (the waiting period between weapon swings), and does not take into consideration other factors, such as Range in the case missile/throwable weapons, and shield or offhand-use in the case of one-handed weapons.

If a weapon may be used as a projectile with the Throwing skill, it will have a number listed under the Range column (Bows, which use the Archery skill, are an exception).

All weapon stats listed represent normal weapons. For weapons made of exotic materials, see Weapon Materials and Types. Effects listed are modifiers to the values found within the normal weapon charts. If both the Damage and Delay modifiers listed range from 0, both will almost never be 0; one or the other (or both) will nearly always differ from the corresponding standard weapon type. Modifiers for non-standard materials listed are true for most weapons, but there do exist 1 or 2 items of certain materials that prove to be an exception to the rules posted.

Remember that the lower the Delay value for a particular weapon, the quicker it is when used in combat.

Weapon Materials and Types
Bronze   Combine   Fine Steel   Rusty, Splintering, Tarnished, Warped and Worn   Well Balanced
Bronze Weapons: Of rudimentary material but excellent by design, weapons crafted of Bronze provide Delay values of 1 to 4 points worse and Damage values of 0 to 1 point worse than normal weapons.

Combine Weapons: Extremely effective and sought after, Combine Weapons are created from rare and magical alloys and provide Delay values of 1 to 4 points less than normal weapons. Arms crafted of Combine will also allow their wielder to harm those monsters normally immune to all but magical weapons. Wandering Gypsies are known to offer these to travellers, but at the cost of many platinum pieces.

Fine Steel Weapons: Crafted of the highest quality non-magical materials, Fine Steel weapons provide Delay values of 1 to 2 points better than normal weapons.

Rusty, Splintering, Tarnished, Warped and Worn Weapons: These old and battered versions of the arms listed below are valued at far less than their newer counterparts (they cost Gold, versus the Platinum that new weapons are valued at) and will not be nearly as effective in battle. Rusty, Splintering, Tarnished and Worn weapons offer Damage and Delay values 0 to 5 points worse than their standard counterparts. Splintering items may also weigh up to 3 points more than normal.

Well Balanced Weapons: These most valuable weapons were created by master craftsman from across Norrath--whom are only rumored to still exist--and provide Delay and Damage values of 0 to 4 points better than normal weapons. These rare arms will also allow their wielder to harm those monsters normally immune to all but magical weapons.
