| Armor Statistics |
| Armor
is sorted alphabetically by area covered (and by protection
offered within each particular category). AC, or Armor Class,
protects your character from damage received during combat,
and counts against his or her Weight Allowance. Only one piece
of armor may be worn over each body area (wrists count as two
body areas). The maximum possible combined AC that a player
character can attain using standard armor types is 120, including
shield. This is an addition to any natural or magical defenses
that the character has as a result of skill, class, or spells.
All armor types will be one of three sizes: Small, Medium,
and Large, and weight varies accordingly. Dwarves, Halflings,
and Gnomes are restricted to Small armor; Dark Elves, High
Elves, and Wood Elves may don either Small or Medium armor;
Erudites, Half Elves, and Humans wear Medium Armor only; and
Barbarians, Ogres, and Trolls are considered to be Large.
Prices were determined using a character with a 75 Charisma.
Many prices have been rounded back to their two highest coin
values. In order to determine the approximate cost of a full
suit of each of the standard armor types, use the following
table:

These well-worn and disintegrating pieces of Leather and Cloth
offer protection of up to 1 to 3 points worse than their newer
counterparts and are significantly less expensive. |
